Elaine Yellow Horse lives on Pine Ridge Reservation and teaches Law and History at the Oglala Lakota College. Together with her wife, a Boston-born teacher-turned-lawyer currently suing the U.S. government on behalf of the Lakota nation, she is raising the Eighth Generation.
